Lund University in Sweden offers a bachelor’s degree in Economy and Society. The course provides students with an understanding of sustainable development and combines investigations in both economics and economic history. The course covers six semesters which focus on topics such as the rise of Europe and the Atlantic economy, microeconomic theory and applications as well as global sustainability. Modules can also be taken in international economics, demographic challenges and colonialism and economic change in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The bachelors programme in Economy and Society at Lund University investigates the mechanisms of economic growth as well as allowing students to gain an understanding of development at national and regional levels and the role of human capital in economic change.

Applicants to the Bachelors in Economy and Society at Lund University need Swedish Upper Secondary School Programs grades of English 6, Mathematics 3b/3c and Social Studies 1b/1a1+1a2 or equivalent high school education. Non-native English speakers also need English studies at upper secondary (high school) level which in Sweden called English 6/English Course B. This equals of an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90.

Tuition fees for the bachelor’s programme in Economy and Society at Lund University for EU and EEA students are 100,000 SEK per year.
