The undergraduate in Disaster and Emergency Management at Coventry University covers the role of urbanisation, globalisation and climate change on developing countries.  The three-year course also addresses disaster management in high income countries and analysis how challenges can occur even in more robust emergency response systems. Students will gain knowledge to identify, critique and respond to a range of crises as well as planning effective disaster preparedness and policy.  Course modules include disaster management and humanitarian practice, organisations and management in disasters and employment skills for disaster and emergency management. Further modules also include risk mitigation and sustainability, building resilient communities and global futures and safety and security. The bachelors in Disaster and Emergency Management at Coventry University also has an option of doing fourth year with a field placement allowing students to gain first-hand experience.

Entry requirements for UK students to the BSc in Disaster and Emergency Management at Coventry University are A level graded ABB – BCC, or BTEC results of DDD – DMM.
